When was The Stone Angel originally published?

The Stone Angel, by Canadian author Margaret Laurence, was originally published in 1964 by McClelland and Stewart, a leading Canadian publisher, and has remained in print since that date. It is one of five books by Laurence set in the fictional town of Manawaka in the real Canadian prairie province of Manitoba in the 1960s.
