What was the government like in the colony of New Hampshire?

The government in the New Hampshire colony changed from a proprietary colony to a royal colony. At first, New Hampshire was a proprietary colony, which meant that one person was given the huge tract of land. That person could then do whatever he wanted in terms of government; for New Hampshire, that was John Mason in 1623. New Hampshire created its own government with its own governor, but the King had the ability to revoke the charter at any moment.
He did that in 1686 and revoked all prior charters. New Hampshire was then chartered as a Royal Colony. The major change here was that New Hampshire was no longer independent. The King established the governor and approved of any decision the council made.
