Discuss parallels between programmed development of the human body (developmental anatomy), how numerous cells function cooperatively to form the four types of tissues, and how these are "woven" together in the womb to make humans so wonderfully complex.

The human body consists of a group of cells with a similar structure working together with a specific function. Human body tissue is basically how our cells are grouped together in a highly organized manner according to specific structure and function. The cells within a tissue share the same embryonic origin.
Cells are the smallest unit of life. Groups of cells are organized into tissues, groups of tissues are organized into organs, groups of organs are organized into organ systems, and the organ system makes up the human organism. Each item needs the one before it, and if one were missing, the next would not exist or work.
There are four types of tissues: epithelial, muscle, connective, and nerve. All of them work together to protect the body on the inside, and each has a different job. Epithelial tissue makes an excellent protective cover for the body, in the form of skin. Epithelial tissue can also be found lining some internal cavities and organs. Muscle tissue is responsible for making us move our body parts. Connective tissue makes up a connective web inside our body. Holding our body parts together and providing support are the main jobs of this tissue. Nervous tissue transmits signals from nerves to the spinal cord and brain.
