Insecticide is a substance which is used to kill insects. Insecticide is mainly used in agricultural fields to protect damage of crops by insects. Insecticide is used at other places also such as industries, etc.
Fungicide is one of the type of insecticide.
Fungicide is used to kill fungi. Fungi causes serious damage to crops , resulting in loss of quality and yield of crops. Fungi is one of the major cause of crop loss worldwide. Fungicide is also used to fight with fungal infection. Fungi is one of the main cause for diseases spread through crops. So we use fungicide on crops to protect them.
Fungicide is also used to fight with fungal infection in animals.
Fungicides are harmful for human beings.That's why many harmful fungicides are banned.


A fungicide is a substance used to kill fungus. There are over a hundred thousand different fungi known and surely more to be discovered, so there are various different substances used to kill them.
The literal definition of fungicide is "any toxic substance used to kill or inhibit the growth of fungi." A fungicidal substance can be sprayed in liquid form directly onto the fungus or used in pellet form and sprinkled around the fungus so that the chemical dissolves into the fungus and kills it.
