What are some current issues facing families?

The "American Family Survey," an annual study commissioned by the Deseret News, finds that the overarching issue families self-identify as an area of concern is economic well-being.
Among the key issues facing families identified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, meanwhile, are a lack of child care, and an absence of early childhood education.
Looking more holistically, across the entire world, sociologist Leah Ruppanner of the University of Melbourne has identified the continued distribution of household roles by gender as a key issue facing contemporary families. According to Ruppanner, the entry of women into the workplace has more evenly distributed professional and wage-earning responsibilities, however, "family experiences are not equally distributed by gender, with women accounting for the brunt of the family work."
Other issues facing families include increasing divorce rates and teenage pregnancy, the latter of which has fallen in recent years but still remains a continuing concern.
