What is the difference between semi-globalized and globalized?

Globalization is the idea that business can be carried across borders without worrying about the differences in the new country while semi-globalization is based on the concept of caution and strategy examination. In other words, businesses in a semi-globalized world don't assume that the strategies they use in their home country will work well in the foreign market.
An example of semi-globalization in play is as follows: a logistics company that wants to open a branch abroad should consider the foreign country's transport network. Perhaps air transport is not as well developed, in that case, it's more practical to use road transport. Alternatively, the firm can look at the competition in the foreign country- how are they delivering goods? Is it door to door delivery or post office delivery? Then, the firm can use the same strategy to avoid making losses.
