Daisy Fuller is a dear friend, caretaker, and an eventual love interest for Benjamin Button, but she is also much more than that. In a way, Daisy serves to show the real-time effect that Benjamin's strange condition has on those around him, and on his own life as well. As we see Benjamin growing up/getting younger, we experience Daisy growing up at the same rate, but as she gets older, Benjamin only becomes more vital, more alive in a way. It is through Daisy's life that we see how both of their lives are mirrored, in the sense that they move in tandem but are still in some ways moving in opposite directions. Daisy's role is as a friend who is closer to Benjamin than anyone else, because she experiences his condition fully from his birth as an old man to his death as a baby.
