I have included, below, a link to an NPR article from 2015, just prior to the release of the live-action Cinderella movie, entitled "A Girl, A Shoe, A Prince: The Endlessly Evolving Cinderella." In order to address this assignment, you will need to know what it means to write an annotated bibliography. First, you will need to cite the source. For the article I've linked, the correct source citation in MLA format would look like this:
Holmes, Linda. "A Girl, A Shoe, A Prince: The Endlessly Evolving Cinderella." NPR. March 13, 2015. Accessed October 17, 2018 [or whatever date you accessed the article].
In your citation, be sure to indent each line after the first one. Next, you would need to provide a summary and maybe even a brief evaluation of the article. In about one-hundred-fifty to two-hundred words, you should go over the article's main ideas, as well as, perhaps, evaluate the sources on which it relies (if your teacher has requested this). This particular article, for example, discusses the nearly three-hundred-fifty variants of the Cinderella story known to exist. It compares and contrasts the variants, describing some notable similarities and differences. The author discusses the modern phrase "Cinderella story" in order to help flesh out common elements and how they have changed or coalesce around certain ideas in certain cultures. She also explores more modern "Cinderella stories" that might break from the typical format or gender configurations. The author relies on one major critical text, written by Marian Roalfe Cox in 1893, Cinderella; three hundred and forty-five variants of Cinderella, Catskin, and Cap o'Rushes, abstracted and tabulated, with a discussion of mediaeval analogues, and notes, as well as other primary sources.

Find an entry that could be useful in a research paper on "Cinderella." Create an annotated bibliography and a works cited page.
