With endless, constant, limitless information comes meaninglessness. "The Library of Babel" suggests that when all possible information is available to us, we are overwhelmed by infinity and incapable of locating satisfying, let alone true, meanings. Borges predicts a dilemma of our "Digital Age" in that having more information via technology's vast online libraries does not lead to greater wisdom. Far from it, 'infinite' information is certain only to produce and reinforce a world with more confusion, frustration, and meaninglessness.
